The Road Development Agency (RDA) technical staff have dashed to Msuzi bridge along Chipata-Lundazi road where the bridge has been washed away.
RDA Director of Communications and Corporate Affairs Masuzyo Ndhlovu has told The Independent Observer that RDA received a report of a washed away culvert at Msuzi.
Mr Ndhlovu said the river which is approximately (five) 5 kilometres located before Lundazi town on the M12 Chipata- Lundazi road had its bridge washed away.
“The washed away structure is a double armco culvert which was built in the 1980’s.Upon receiving the report our RDA technical staff have rushed to the site to make an assessment and provide an immediate intervention in the interim.
“After a comprehensive assessment more details will be availed as regards to the way forward,” he said.
