By Staff Writer
Folk Musician Mumba Yachi has officially unreservedly apologised to Zambians for a acquiring a Zambian passport which he was not entitled to.

In his official media statement Saturday, Yachi says the Government had the right to deport him and has thanked the Immigration Department for the humane manner in which they treated him.

He has particularly thanked President Edgar Lungu and Home Affairs Minister Steven Kampyongo for ensuring that his stay in Zambia is now regularised and that he reunites with his wife and children who are pure Zambians.

Video is on Mumba Yachi’s Facebook page.

The musician was deported a year ago for illegal stay in Zambia and holding a Zambian passport illegally.
