Zesco United coach George Lwandamina has refused to make promises after his team beat Niger out-fit AS Sonidep to set up a crunchy encounter with DR Congo giants TP Mazembe in the CAF Champions League.
Lwandamina said his team was still in pre-season and they will play TP Mazembe the way they were.
He said he will do things by the book.
“This is how football moves. They are no short cuts in football. We have to follow things in order. Talking of TP Mazembe, We will play them the way we are because I can’t jump the gun. We will do things systematically until we reach where we will reach.
“I can’t promise people that I will do wonders, from where? Scientifically it’s not possible. These are human being we are dealing with so it has to be systematic. If you win games along the way kudos for the players,” he said.
He said a thing that is helping the players is that they have been together for some time.
“Yes there changes one or two but the core is still there that’s what is giving them the coordination. We have not started the coordination but it’s still there in the subconscious of the players,” he said.
