Nchanga Queens shocked pride stars

Chingola based team Nchanga Queens football Club yesterday came from 1-0 down to beat Pride Stars 2- 1 at home ground, recording their fifth win of the season in a week 5 of the FAZ women’s National Division one league Northern Zone.

In a game played at Kasama Boys Ground, it was the home side that scored first through striker Mary Kasongo in 10th minute and pride stars took a lead.

Nchanga Queens went on to equalize in the dying minutes of the first half through Tricia Mabamba in 40th minute and the first half ended a 1-1 draw.

In the second half ,the game become was tough as the home team could not accept a draw, and in  52nd minute the unstoppable Ivy Simbeye Scored making 2-1 in favor of Nchanga Queens.

The game ended 2-1, and Nchanga Queens remains the only team unbeaten in the Northern Zone

Speaking in a  post match interview after the game, Nchanga Queens Head Coach Charity Nthala expressed happiness over the performance of the team against Pride Stars FC.

“The game was tough so to speak but am happy that we have managed to collect the maximum points, I know that we did not start  well but we work on our mistakes back home,”  She said.

Nchanga Queens still leads the table with 15 points followed by Prison leopard with 10 points while Nkana with 9 and Chalube Angels 8 points.
