A Double brace from Josephine Change, a goal from Brenda Mwewa and Tricia Mabamba has enabled Nchanga Queens to maintain top position after humiliating Manyama Queens soccer Academy 4-1 in a week Two of the FAZ National Women’s Division One league Northern Zone.

This was a game played at Watson Stadium in Chingola on Saturday afternoon.

Nchanga Queens through striker Josphine Change broke the deadlock in 11 minutes and Nchanga Queens took a lead. Before Manyama could pull up their stokens Josephine scored another goal in 34 minutes making it 2 – 0 in favor of Nchanga Queens.

The lead peeled more pressure on Manyama but it did not pay off and the first half ended 2-0 with Josephine change on the score sheet.

In the second half Nchanga Queens assistant coach Mercy Mulenga introduced Brenda Mwewa to Alice Mwaba, the young Mwaba made an immediate impact scoring her third goal of the season in 62nd minute.

The Unstoppable Frame ran riot in second half and scored a penalty through striker Astridah Loma in 86th minute which boosted their morale.

The Manyama Queens dominated play in the second half but their efforts did not pay off for the second goal.

In 90th minute before added time Tricia Mabamba scored another goal and the game ended 4-1 in favor of Nchanga Queens.

Speaking in a post match interview after beating Manyama 4-1, team President Probby Musa described the performance of the Queens as impressive.

Probby said that he was happy with the performance of the Queens in the two games played so far. He further encouraged the Queens to continue working hard in order to maintain their stay on the top of the league.

Nchanga Queens is on the log with 6 points after beating Chitulika fc last weekend in an away encounter while Manyama with 1 point after a draw and a lose with Nchanga Queens.
