500,000 Pfizer vaccines give to Zambia

By MAIMBO MWEEMBA
The Italian Government has announced that it will donate 5-hundred thousand Pfizer Vaccines as a gift to Zambia.

This is to show appreciation for the bilateral ties the two countries have shared in 50 years.

Italy’s Ambassador to Zambia, Antonino Maggiore made the announcement during the official celebrations of the Italian Day in Lusaka.

Mr Maggiore said the Italian and Zambian Governments have over the years shared ties that contribute to both countries’ economies.

He said the relationship between the two countries should continue for future engagements.

Mr Maggiore said Zambia has become a beacon to the global democracy following peaceful elections and a successful transition of power during last year’s General election.

And, Commerce, Trade and Industry Minister Chipoka Mulenga said Zambia is open for more investment from Italy.

He said this is aimed at bettering the lives of the Zambian people and Italians living in the country.
