Fifty (50) more residents of Chingola have been apprehended by police for Idle and disorderly conduct.

On the night of June 4, 2021, police had again apprehended 60 people for loitering.

Copperbelt Police Chief Elias Chushi in an interview with The Independent Observer said that police are working to get results.

Mr Chushi said some people have been arrested in connection with recent incidents in Chingola.

“But we have continued with an aggressive police patrol to ensure that we dont leave any stone unturned.

“I will personally give out my direct phone number to ensure we nip out the evil from Chingola and give our people peace they deserve. So far we have made headways and patrols at night are aimed at making sure we deal with criminals. I urge innocent citizens to stay at home because we are using force and aggression this time around,” he said.

Chingola had earlier this week recorded two separate incidents of night attacks on residents where six people were hacked by unknown half naked man.

Two of the six, have sincerely died and this is the situation which Mr Chushi wants to arrested immediately.

He said the suspects are living with the community of Chingola and when the community remains silent without reporting the suspects, it hurts the Town.

He has assured the residents of Chinga, that they are very safe and protected if they are to give him or his officers confidential information leading to the arrest and prosecution of the suspect.
