Five members of the same family have died in Kabwe after being struck by lightning.
This comes barely a week in which five members of the same family died in Siavonga after being struck by lightning.
The family met their fate as they were in the house during a heavy downpour.
The youngest family member was believed to be aged two-years-old, while the oldest was aged 38-years-old.
Central Province police commissioner David Chileshe said the incident occurred on Monday at around 21:00 hours.
“The victims were Obey Kanyimbo 38, Merry Kanyimbo 36, Brenda Kanyimbo 11, Elisha Kanyimbo six and Maureen Kanyimbo aged two. The relatives of the victims have decided to go ahead with burial as they do not suspect any foul play,” he said.
