The Disaster Management and Mitigation Unity (DMMU) through government have released over 400,000 Kwacha towards the construction of a one-by-two classroom block at Chifumo Primary School in Luwingu district.

Luwingu District commissioner, Patrick Chanda said government wants children to be learning in a safe environment.

“The PF government wants every child to have equal access to better education, has been evidenced by the construction of schools taking place across the country,” he said.

He said this when he addressed the Parents’ and Teachers’ Association (PTA) meeting which was held at the learning institution.

And Luwingu District Education Board Secretary, Mulenga Bwalya, encouraged parents to be sending their children to school.

Ms Bwalya noted that some parents tend send their children into early marriage instead of sending them to schools.
