By Ireen Mulenga

Chingola Municipal Council Public Health Inspectors are on the ground checking for compliance levels towards Covid-19 measures in both public and private schools.

CMC Public Relations Officer Believe Chisanga said that the exercise is to ensure that the Guidelines are adhered to by both teachers and leaners.

“We have also noticed that sometimes learners tend to be careless when it comes to adhering to measures when outside the school premises,” he said .

Ms Chisanga urged parents and the general public to remind learners to adhere to the laid down guidelines in order to prevent the spread of the disease.

She said the Local Authority would like to inform all school managements that those that are not adhering to the guidelines, risk their Schools being closed.
