Government says it will construct 33 bridges in North Western province, and 11 out of the 33 will be constructed in Zambezi District.
Minister of infrastructure housing and urban Development Charles Milupi said the construction of the bridges in the province will link and connect the communities and districts in north western province to the rest of the country.
Speaking when he paid a courtesy call on North Western Province Minister Robert Liefu Mr Milupi said that the 11 bridges in Zambezi will open up the district and connecting Zambezi East to Zambezi West.
He said that the bridges are coming with road works being constructed in the province.
The Minister also said that North Western Province is on top of the agenda on roads construction because the passing government neglected the three provinces Lusaka, western and North Western province.
“We are going to work on the roads linking the provinces in Kasempa, Kabompo and Zambezi, to me there is no any other province that requires these roads more than north western province because they were left out by the Patriotic Front government,” he said.
