Police in Lusaka have jointly arrested and charged three persons with the offence of fraudulent dealing with a Motor Vehicle and Theft of Motor Vehicle contrary to the Laws of Zambia.
Police Spokes person Esther Katongo said Tobias Milambo, Nachi Musonda and Richard Lubemba are alleged that the trio and other persons known to themselves in June, 2020 jointly and whilst acting together did fraudulently dispose off a motor vehicle Ford Ranger, registration number BAF 9826 ZM.
Ms Katongo said that this with intent to defraud by purporting that the board of directors for Ultimate Insurance Company Limited lawfully disposed off the above mentioned motor vehicle when in fact not.
She said it is also alleged that the motor vehicle in question was stolen from Ultimate Insurance Company Limited and ownership of the said motor vehicle was changed from Ultimate Insurance Company Limited to Nachi Musonda.
Ms Katongo said this is reported to have occurred in June, 2020 at Ultimate Insurance Company Limited in Lusaka.
She said the suspects have been released on police bond and will appear in Court soon.
