Three more suspects have been arrested in connection with theft from motor vehicles in Chelstone.
This is in connection with the arrest of four suspects including a-24-year-old woman two days who have been on Police wanted list for the offence of theft from motor vehicles in Chelstone area in the recent past.
Police Deputy Spokesperson Danny Mwale said investigations led to the arrest of three more suspects aged between 29 and 34 who were picked up from Matero Township in Lusaka.
Mr Mwale said the suspects were found with some car breaking implements.
He said the Police also impounded two motor vehicles which were used by the suspects, a Toyota Allex with two registration numbers BLB 2783 and BAL 5634 as well as a Toyota Camry bearing registration number BAV 913.
“Suspects were apprehended on February 7, 2023 around 20:00 hours, the total number of impounded motor vehicles suspected to be used in criminal activities is three and number of suspects in Police custody is seven. Investigations are still ongoing,” he said.
