3 Milenge polling stations will delay to open-ECZ

By JOHN SAKALA
The Electoral Commission of Zambia says that opening of three polling stations in Nsunga Ward of Milenge District is expected to delay because the trio can only be accessed by air transport.

ECZ Public Relations Manager Margaret Chimanse identifies the three as Kashila Polling Station, Lupiya Polling Station and Lungo Mukuta Polling Station.

Ms Chimanae said access to the three polling stations by road has become difficult due to heavy rains being experienced in the area.

“However, the Commission will compensate by the equivalent time lost in the three polling stations that opened late. This means that voting in the three polling stations will go beyond 18:00 hours, the official time of closing polling stations,” she said.

Milenge is holding Council Chairperson elections today December 5, 2019.
