Twenty five (25) South African Companies are nextweek expected in Zambia on a four day investment Mission to the Copperbelt and Lusaka provinces.
The bussiness delegation will be led by officials from the South African Department of Trade and Industry .
Sectors to be represented include infrastructure,Mining , Capital equipment and Steel fabrication among others.
The investment Mission will conduct trade and investment seminar, bussiness to bussiness meetings and site specific visits in Lusaka ,Kitwe and Ndola districts.
According to the letter made available to the Zambian mission in Pretoria ,South Africa the investment mission is aimed at improving awareness of investment opportunities and deepening bilaterial trade relations between the two countries.
The outward selling and investment Mission that will be held from the 12th to 16th August comes as a follow up to the previous trade missions.
And Zambia High’s Commissioner Designate Major Gen Jackson Miti has hailed the growing interest to invest in Zambia’s various sectors.
Maj Gen Miti said Zambia was a good investment destination owing to the stable political and economic environment.
He has since encouraged other would be investors to take advantage of the existing opportunities.
This is according to the media statement by First Secretary for Press and Public Relations at the Zambian Embassy in South African Naomi Nyawali.
