24 passengers injured in a Juldan Motorways accident

Twenty-four passengers are nursing serious injuries after a Juldan Motorways there were traveling in overturned on the road, when the driver was overtaking other vehicles in Chisali.

Muchinga Province Acting Commanding Officer Lucky Munkondya said the accident happened after the driver Elijah Mugodi 50, was overtaking two unknown motor vehicles on a descent (slope).

Ms Munkondya said the vehicle veered to the right side and flipped while resting on the right side.

She said four women and two men passengers sustained serious injuries and have been admitted to Chinsali General Hospital.

“The bus had a shattered windscreen and damaged right side.

“The accident happened today February 4, 2022 at around 07:15 hours and by press time the bus was still at the scene,” she said.
