2 women murdered in cold blood in Lusaka

Two women have been killed by  unknown people in Lusaka’s George Township.

The two were found dead in their two roomed house.

Deputy Police Spokesperson Rea Hamoonga said incident occurred between April 16 at 22:00 hours and April 17, 2019 at 06:00 hours.

Mr Hamoonga said Police who visited the scene of crime found the victims bodies lying in a pool of blood facing upwards and three, Six inches blocks were found next to the bodies stained with blood.

He has identified the victims as Mwangala Mulala 37, and Sandra Phiri 27.

The bodies of the deceased are in UTH mortuary awaiting postmortem.

In a similar development a 63-year-old man of Munyeu area was murdered by unknown criminals after breaking into his house.

Mr Hamoonga said this occurred between April 15 and April 16, 2019.

He has identified the victim as Ernest Masocha who sustained two deep cuts on the neck. An unknown object is alleged to have been used in the act.

The body is in UTH mortuary awaiting postmortem. Investigations are on going.
