2 notorious rival groups crushed, 7 wounded with machetes

Two rival groups of notorious boys called savage Kingdom and Demon or TY crushed at Paka white bar and Solola bwe in Kitwe’s Kawama Township.

And seven boys were wounded in the commotion as they were using machetes to inflict injuries on each other, the same occurred on February 3, 2023 between 1800hours and 2000hours.

Copperbelt Police Commanding Officer Peacewell Mmeemba said these two groups are known to be terrorizing people in Kawama.

Mr Mweemba said the cause of the fight is not yet known and no arrest has been made so far, but seven dockets of unlawful wounding have been opened.

He identified the injured as Harrison Mumba 20, who sustained a deep cut on the head as a machete was used to inflict the injuries and a phone ltel A 16 grey in colour valued at K900 was taken away from him by a group  called Demon or TY,  Michael Banda 20, sustained deep a cut on the back, a machete was used, Simon Phiri 18 sustained a deep cut on the forehead as a machete was used to inflict the injuries.

Others are a-17-year-old, 15-year-old and 16 year-old juveniles all of Kawama sustained deep cuts on their heads as a machete was used.

And Lazarus Chabala 18 who reported to have been assaulted by a group called Savage Kingdom and sustained multiple swellings on the head.
