2 Chingola land fraudsters in court for forgging letters of offer

Two suspected land fraudsters of Chingola are in court for forgging letters of offer.

Donald Malulu 58, of house No. 71 Katunga Road, Chikola and George Kashitomu 53, of Lulamba are charged with forgery of documents (offer of letters of land).

Testifying begore Chingola Magistrate court was
Chingola Municipal Council Director of Administration Kelvin Banda.

Mr Banda told the court nobody was given land under the minutes in question.

“The fogged offer letters of land for the minute’s numbers for 2010 were receded and no one was given offer letters,” he said.

Particulars of the matter is that Malulu and Kashitomu on dates unknown but between 2014 and 2019 forged offer of letters purporting that they were authentic letters from Chingola Municipal council when in fact not.

Mr Banda told the court that the Minute numbers where the two are saying it was recorded in 2010 were receded and no one was given any offer letters.

He also told the court that the date stump on the same letters was not for Chingola Municipal council and the signature on the offer letters was not of the then Chingola Town Clerk George Mulenga.

And Chingola former Town Clerk Mr Mulenga also told the court that he started work at Chingola Municipal Council in 2011 not 2010 as the letters show.

Magistrate Stephen Mabona adjourned the Matter to June 24, this year for continuation of trail.
