THE Kitwe magistrate court has sentenced 13 juveniles belonging to the infamous 90 Niggers to one year probation.

Probation is the release of juvenile offender from detention, subject to a period of good behaviour under supervision.

Particulars of the offence are that on April 14, 2018 in Kitwe, the 13 jointly and whilst acting together did conduct themselves in a manner likely to cause the breach of peace.

When delivering judgment, Kitwe Resident Magistrate Malota Phiri warned the juveniles that his court will not be lenient if any of them commits any crime in the next year.

Mr Malota said the court has been issuing orders of probation and has not received any reports from the probation officers.

Magistrate Phiri reminded the probation officer from the office of the social welfare to avail him a report from the schools and also from her office once the probation is over.

“I have taken note of what you have said in mitigation, I will give you a second chance to clean up your act. It does not pay to belong to gangs. There is a lot that you can do apart from been gangsters.

“I am giving you one probation effective from the day you were arrested and I expect a report from the schools and the social welfare office,’’ he said.
