Starting December 21, the one-hundred-episode mini-documentary series of The Chinese Dream – 365 Stories Season 3 started airing on TopStar, and its online video platform.
Launched by the publicity department of the Beijing Municipal Committee of CPC, the show will be available in English, French, and Portuguese, covering nearly 13 million digital TV family-subscribers and more than 20 million app-subscribers in 32 sub-Saharan countries, including Kenya, Uganda, South Africa, Nigeria, Zambia, Tanzania, Rwanda, Mozambique, Côte d’Ivoire and Ghana.
Produced by Beijing Media Network, the mini-documentary that consists of 365 episodes is the only one in its kind in China.
Each episode documents the life stories of everyday Chinese people. Using new storytelling and cinematic techniques, the 365 episodes unfold the Chinese dream in the new era.
These 100 brand-new episodes of The Chinese Dream – 365 Stories are carefully selected on the basis of preliminary research on the viewing preferences of viewers in Nigeria, Tanzania, Mozambique, Côte d’Ivoire, Ghana, and other African countries. Given the diversity of languages in Africa, the show has been translated and dubbed into English, French, and Portuguese, aiming to broaden the access to understanding China for African audiences, and enable them to learn more about Beijing in the new era.
This is according to a media statement made available to The Independent Observer by TopStar Public Relations Manager Joy Chula.
