A-10-year-old boy of Chambishi’s Twaiteka area has been electrocuted by a Zesco live wire.
Brief facts of the matter are that the victim Joseph Mutale of house K218 Zambia Township in Chambishi was in a company of his friends of the same age playing along 33kv line in Twaiteka area Chambishi.
They went to a Zesco pole with a stray wire and the victim started swinging on it, he got electrocuted and members of public rushed him to Twaiteka Clinic where he died upon arrival.
Copperbelt Police Commanding Officer Peacewell Mweemba said the matter was reported to the police who visited the scene together with Zesco officers.
Mr Mweemba said the victim’s body was deposited in Chambishi Government Clinic mortuary.
