A toddler has died after he was hit by his father when he was reversing his Toyota Hilux in Kanyama area in Lusaka.
Deputy Police Spokesperson Rae Hamoonga confirmed that the incident which occurred today at 09:00 hours at House Number 50/57 in Kanyama Compound.
Mr Hamoonga said Wambinji Chinga 42, was driving a Toyota Hilux Registration Number ABL 7312, but reversed negligently and hit the child who was behind.
He said the One year Six months boy who is the son to Chinga sustained fatal head injuries and died on the spot.
Mr Hamonga said Chinga has since been charged for Causing Death by Dangerous Driving and released on police bond.
